When it comes to the three-row luxury crossover segment, the competition is heated. But one vehicle that has had no trouble maintaining its spot at the top is the Lincoln Aviator. Now, Kelley Blue Book Canada is backing that up by comparing the Lincoln Aviator to one of its top competitors: the Cadillac XT6.
The KBB Canada editors recognized the Lincoln Aviator as the better value between the two highly popular SUVs. Putting it ahead of the XT6 was its powerful engine options, greater towing capacity, and ample cargo space behind the third row.
To start, the Cadillac XT6 offers just 357 litres of space behind the third row while the Lincoln Aviator provides 519 litres. Going beyond room for your groceries and gear, the Lincoln Aviator can be equipped with a 400-horsepower 3.0-litre V6 under the hood. The XT6’s comparable 3.6-litre V6 gets a max of 310 horsepower. But going even further, the Lincoln Aviator’s hybrid powertrain — the aforementioned V6 paired with a nano electric motor — blows the XT6 out of the water with 494 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque.
As a result of all that power, the Lincoln Aviator is able to tow 2,540 kg with its PHEV powertrain and 3,039 kg with the standard V6. The Cadillac XT6 comes in at a max towing capacity of only 1,814 kg.
Here at Downtown Lincoln, you don’t have to take our word for it. The numbers clearly speak for themselves when you compare these two luxury SUVs: The Lincoln Aviator is superior to the Cadillac XT6. Visit us today to see even more reasons to choose the Lincoln Aviator as your new vehicle.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recently announced that two Lincoln SUVs have earned TOP SAFETY PICK honors. The 2021 Lincoln Corsair earned this recognition for the third consecutive year, while the 2021 Lincoln Aviator won for the second year in a row.
To score the title of TOP SAFETY PICK, a vehicle must earn the highest rating of “Good” in six crashworthiness tests: driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraints. It also must receive the rating of “Advanced” or Superior” for vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian crash prevention, along with an “Acceptable” headlight rating.
The 2021 Aviator earned a “Good” rating on its available Adaptive Pixel LED Headlamps, and almost earned an “Acceptable” on its standard LED headlights. Otherwise, the Aviator had top ratings across the IIHS testing.
The Corsair’s available jeweled LED headlights earned an “Acceptable” rating. Both vehicles also earned a “Superior” rating on their standard Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, while the version available with the Lincoln Co-Pilot™ 360 Plus suite earned an “Advanced” rating.

Winter in Toronto means ice, snow, and freezing rain. With this harsh weather, it’s important you know how to take on unexpected skids and more. These winter driving safety tips will help you feel more confident as you’re driving during the colder months.
Don’t slam on the brakes. When it’s slippery out, you never want to slam on your brakes. Instead, if you have to stop quickly, pump your brakes to stop you faster without sliding.
Know how to get out of a skid. Before you find your vehicle’s wheels losing traction, it’s important that you know how to recover from your skid. Remember to stay calm and don’t slam on your brakes. If your front wheels have lost traction, ease off the gas pedal and steer in the direction you want to go without touching the brake or gas pedals. For rear-wheel skids, turn your steering wheel into the direction your rear end is sliding so that your entire car is straightened out. Once you’re off the icy patch, you can accelerate again.
Keep your distance. Drive slowly in snowy and icy weather, and make sure you keep a significant amount of space between you and the vehicle in front of you. This will allow you to have enough time to react if the vehicle in front of you starts skidding.
Make sure your visibility is good. Make sure you can always see where you’re going by clearing off all of your vehicle’s windows, its hood, and its taillights and headlights.
As you deal with winter driving, it’s also wise to keep up on scheduled service for your vehicle. For all your maintenance and repair needs, contact us here at Downtown Lincoln in Toronto.

Lincoln is known for offering reliable, luxurious, and long-lasting vehicles. So it comes as no surprise that the brand earned two coveted spots in the 2020 AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards.
The luxury carmaker received these honors thanks to top scores for quietness, ride, handling, safety features, and ratings. This is due to the Lincoln brand’s Quiet Flight DNA and serene interiors.
