The holiday season is upon us, which means it’s time to start thinking about how we can celebrate. Among the many holiday events in Toronto, these three in particular should be on your “must visit” list.
Toronto Christmas Market
From the local, hand-crafted gift possibilities to the festive food and drink, the Toronto Christmas Market is a prime way to celebrate the start of the holiday season. Located in the Distillery Historic District, this market will be held Nov. 14-Dec. 22. It will be open every day of the week except for Mondays. Your kids will even be able to meet and greet Santa.
Aurora Winter Festival
Watch as Ontario Place is transformed and lit up with beautiful holiday light displays at the Aurora Winter Festival. This festival, which takes place Nov. 22-Jan. 5, creates a magical atmosphere with its lights, a Christmas market, a skating rink, and amusement rides.
Black Creek Pioneer Village Christmas
Have you ever wondered what Christmas celebrations were like back in Victorian times? Take a step back to the 19th century at Black Creek Pioneer Village. This historic site hosts a range of events to help you discover what Victorian holiday traditions were like. You can even hitch a ride on a horse-drawn wagon and warm up with hot chocolate afterward.
Wherever your plans take you this holiday season, the staff here at Downtown Lincoln wishes you warmth and joy with your loved ones.
